Precooked and Dehydrated Yellow Peas

Pisum Sativum

Peas are believed to have originated in the Middle East. Deposits have been found in central Turkey that date to 5,700 B.C. Yellow peas have a mild, earthy flavor and soft texture. Split peas are found most often in Scandinavian and Indian cuisine. The mild flavor and golden color of this pea makes it a wonderful addition in soups, sauces, dips and spreads.
